In downtown St. Louis. What a shithole…

I lived in STL for a stretch. It blows food wise. Except The Hill. The Italian is legit.

Yea, their downtown sucks. Go to The Hill or Soulard

It’s my hometown. They had a political divorce at the turn of the 1900’s when the City instituted a 1% tax on all business and the productivity moved west, formed “St Louis County” with its own governance and left it to rot. Season that history with white flight, better public schools, maybe a little red-lining to boot. Throw it in the oven with shitty inner city governance and the breakdown of the black family structure of the 1960’s. And voila! Modern St Louis. The Zoo and City Museums are amazing. But the Cardinals are the only reason to go downtown anymore. And this year they aren’t that much of a draw either. Shame.

Been there a few times and it's super run down. Drove through there again about a month ago and it was crazy how much trash lined the interstate. Looked like a third world country.

Spent the weekend in a civilized place and it’s unreal how different it is from being in a crime infested shithole

Since all people do is biatch, what downtowns do y'all like? What is NOT a shithole? Where is there not traffic after a game or at 5 p.m.

I like Dallas. Denver. Tampa. Charlotte. And, of course, Vegas.

I had the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had in my life in downtown St. Louis at a place called Sugarfire. Unfortunately, I had to keep my hand on my pistol anytime we were on the street.
