What are some games you played at recess or lunch

Back in the day, we played tackle games. Uniforms took a bit of a beating and many people had them patched up as the school year progressed.
We played British Bulldog, which is think is pretty well known.
We also played a game called Tap and Out of Jail in which one team had a base, the other team was in the field. The base team would send out runners and as the field team tackled them, they would go to "jail" (usually a tree on the opposite side of the field.) To free the people at the jail, you had to tag them. You could send out one or more people to try to accomplish this.
Another game we played was a game of tag, except we would use a rolled-up aluminum foil ball (usually from someone's lunch). You had to throw the ball and hit someone with it to make them 'it'.
When we got to high school, we didn't do tackle games. We mostly did flipping nickels or quarters or tossing nickels or quarters against a wall and closest one got all of them.

We played trip. Each team took turns running from one side to the other, while the other team had to trip you. Fun times!

We used to wrestle. When the DDT hit the big time everyone at my school had red foreheads. Amazing no one died.

We’d play football at the table using a triangle shaped folded piece of paper. You could kick field goals by holding and thumping the triangle through the goal post made by your opponents hands.
Game we called lagging… tossing coins ( Pennie’s, dimes, nickels, or quarters) against the wall. Whoever got closest won the coins.

I think we played this too, IIRC.
We also had a "monkey bars" where two kids at a time would hang from the highest rungs and try to knock or pull each other down using your legs.

When it first came out, about 10 of us boys would siit at a table and play some sort of battle royal with the Pokemon TCG. Energy cards weren't used, you just drew your pokemon, put them face up, and blasted the shite out of whoever you wanted with whatever number was on it.
