It’s been a month now, so why did the offensive fail?
They weren’t prepared, they didn’t have enough men, they didn’t have the training or experience to carry off a large operation, they lacked the physical ability to coordinate it, they lacked the heavy weapons and the ammunition they needed to support the attack, they were particularly short on artillery support which could have suppressed the Russians, and they seemed to have little to no short range air defenses, which is why the Russian attack helicopters had such a field day. And while they had some mine clearing equipment, it wasn’t remotely enough, given the depth of the Russian minefields, and Russias ability to remine areas remotely.

It seems that so far the Winter Russian offensive and the Summer Ukrainian offensive have not done very much to change the battle lines. Things are fairly static.

They tried WW1 tactics on a heavly defended front. They lost 10s of thousands of men and 100s of pieces of equipment.

Front changes are in hundreds of meters. Neither side has been able to gain air superiority which puts u back into 1916 tactics.

You Putin loving idiot. How hard did you have to look to find pro Russia propaganda?
There are Russians who admit Ukraine gas gained ground and towns.
Once Trump sucked off Putin, you guys went all pro Russia.

Damn, let's see some more predictions from you. Given your track record, we can almost bet on the opposite and come out in the money.

Russia was one of my focuses at university
The Russian army built massive and deeply layered system of fortifications in Zaprozhye. In some areas it’s up to seven lines deep, but in others just three. The first and second lines are the weakest and least developed.
The idea is that the first two lines would slow the Ukrainians down and bleed them, and so by the time they reached the third, and the first really substantial line, they would have taken too many casualties, and be too disorganized to continue fighting, they would be spent. And in the middle of all of this, the Russians would be doing their best to preserve their own forces, falling back as necessary, giving up space to minimize losses.
That didn’t happen though, to date, despite their best efforts, and after a month of fighting, the Ukrainians haven’t even reached the first line of defenses.

This is such a tired act. Russia has been and continues to beat the hell out of the Ukrainians. Ukraine is done. Just accept it. They were never going to win this war. Ukraine has gained nothing in their offensive.
After more than a year, people like to continue to avoid learning anything at all about Russian doctrine. They are not preoccupied with key terrain seizures. They are looking to kill the enemy and destroy enemy materiel.
None of the small amount of territory that Ukraine has moved to with this offensive enhances their position, provides a decisive advantage, or increases their odds of victory. But they've lost tens of thousands of troops. If we would simply get out of Ukraine, this war would end within a day. It's people like you that insure the bloodshed continues.
Also, you support Nazis.

If this is a war of attrition, and Ukraine runs low on “human capital,” then if won’t be static for long. Sadly, the brave men of Ukraine will have been slaughtered for nothing.

I think it’s getting to that point
They’re rolling it out slowly, doing it one region at a time, but they’re requiring all eligible men to report for conscription now.

And to add, the news the last few days has all been about a Nuclear attack by either the Russians or Ukrainians sabotaging their own nuclear plant and blaming the Russians? I may not have the story 100% correct but that was the gist of what I have read.
Who knows? The propaganda is thick in this war.
We had better coverage of the Civil War in Sri Lanka years ago. What gives?
Posted on 7/4/23 at 9:16 pm to ItNeverRains
The truth of this war is neither side has the offensive capability to knock the other out of the war.

Russians dug in and beefed up their defenses. This is a stalemate at best.
Zelenskyy will do something scary drastic soon I fear. Already talk of a false flag at the nuclear power plant.

Destroying the other guy's military is always the point. This isn't a board game.
