9/10 times I agree with you but a 96% chance of heavy thunderstorms spread over a few hours usually means its going to rain.

You’re not going to start at game at 9am when one team was playing until after midnight. I’m pretty sure there is a guideline for allowing at least 12 hours of rest. Which is why the start time for today wasn’t announced until they had a good idea about what time last nights game was going to end.

It’s post season play. Suck it up!

Lol. I know you’re right. I’m just annoyed with all the rules they have.

Shows rain fkr 10 hours and no rain.

Shows no rain all day and huge thunderstorms.

It’s a fickle thing for sure.

Absolute truth. Weather bug shows 10% chance at 1:00. Weather channel shows 98%

It’s not the rain that’s the problem, it’s the lightning.

Unless there is some 12 hour turnaround rule the game should have been a morning game to make sure we can get a second in tonight if necessary. Now we will probably have this one delayed and if LSU doesn't take care of business we play tomorrow or really late tonight. Hopefully we catch a Saturday super regional.

I love it when my phone just says 30% chance all day long. Like hey it may rain, but chances are it won't, just want to be safe.

Jay lobbied against it because it would put his pitchers off of their beloved schedule

This is the answer. They can’t force OSU to play at 10:00 AM when they got the final out of their game last night at 12:25 AM.

This is only an issue because they've poorly managed the start times the last two days. They give ESPN more decision making power over the start times than the people running the regionals.

wish i could find this. i asked in another thread because i didn't know. Was thinking 11am today would be better than 1 but, i assumed there was some kind of minimum rest time rule.

Was told by someone I trust that there was, and it makes sense that there would be.

Totally agree with this which is why they should've started at 11am

Good grief

If you don't think starting something at 11am as opposed to 1pm doesn't give you more hours in the day, I cant help you. You also chose to leave out the part of the post which said there may be a rest period stipulation that overrules this.

This is perfect. We'll get our guy warmed up, maybe throw an inning or two, then sit him on the bench when it rains.
