Stupid pitching questions...

Is today a bullpen day for Skenes? As in, can he give us an inning or so to close out a game?
Floyd threw 71 pitches yesterday, so he's totally unavailable as is Hurd (99!).
Guidry only threw 12 in the 9th, so he should be available for up to 2-3 innings, right?
Solid and available: J.Coleman, Guidry, Herring, Ack (updated)
Shaky and available: Coop, Little
Random inning eater: Money, Dutton, Collins
Who am I forgetting?

If Cooper can land his breaking ball for strikes, he would cause fits for OSU.
Yesterday looked like the first time they ever saw a curveball.

Skenes won’t pitch until the supers.
You’re correct about Floyd and Guidry they are a no go.
Coleman is the most probable starter. After that the situation will dictate.
The wild card is can we pop out to an early lead so JJ throws for one game or will it be tight enough he has to manage as though there are two games.
OSU will throw the kitchen sink in the first game because they have no second game to fall back to unless they win the first.

Skenes, Hurd and Floyd are burnt.
Guidry is absolutely available

Really think Jay sets the day like this:
Coleman - 12 outs (4 innings)
Ack - 6-9 outs (2-3 innings)
Herring - 3-6 outs (1-2 innings)
Guidry - 3 outs (1 inning)
If any other pitcher is needed I think would be Cooper.

Cooper is better than tRant gives him credit for. As I see it, Coop is a placement/pitch-to-contact type pitcher (for style context, not results, think Greg Maddux). So when he is off, it looks horrible, but when he is on, he gives up hits but not runs and strikes a few guys out as well.
SEC Only Stats top 3 pitchers available based on ERA
Herring 17 1/3 IP - 5.19 ERA - 12 BB
Guidry 11 2/3 IP - 5.4 ERA - 7 BB
Cooper 23 2/3 IP - 5.7 ERA - 7 BB.
I'm also not sure where the idea that he walks a lot of batters comes from, at least relative to this pitching staff.
Walks per 9 inning (all games)
Paul Skenes - 1.54
Garrett Edwards - 1.95
Samuel Dutton - 2.36
Riley Cooper - 2.79
Blake Money - 3.46
Ty Floyd - 3.76
Micah Bucknam - 3.86
Chase Shores - 4.48
Gavin Guidry - 4.93
Nate Ackenhausen - 5.35
Griffin Herring - 5.84
Thatcher Hurd - 5.99
Christian Little - 7.36
Will Hellmers - 7.36
Javen Coleman - 8.85
Bryce Collins - 9.47
Interestingly, his walks per 9 innings went down marginally in SEC Play despite the postage stamp strike zone
Walks per 9 inning (SEC games)
Paul Skenes - 1.59
Riley Cooper - 2.72
Samuel Dutton - 2.9
Chase Shores - 3.86
Ty Floyd - 4.14
Garrett Edwards - 4.41
Blake Money - 4.44
Gavin Guidry - 5.63
Griffin Herring - 6.32
Bryce Collins - 6.92
Thatcher Hurd - 7.02
Javen Coleman - 9
Micah Bucknam - 9
Nate Ackenhausen - 10.5
Christian Little - 11.84
Will Hellmers - 19.69

We don't need a lock down starter. Today we will put up a football score.

I just wanted to let you know what it was exactly that got you all the downvotes. Most people quit reading after that comment.

Coop shouldn’t be in a category with Little. 1, because Little. 2, because he’s been pretty solid the last few out
