Big News: The MLB Players union @MLBPA has been contacted by players and has now contacted @MLB over concerns players have about teams pushing social/political issues which in turn appear as player endorsements. This has been an ongoing problem and players don’t feel protected.

Players need to start pushing back on this shite of teams making them adorn their bodies in Pride rainbows in endorsement and celebration of LGBTQ Pride. MLB is 32% Hispanic who tend to be overwhelmingly catholic. They'd got the power to resist.

Thank you Kershaw
He's fighting the good fight! I'm not pulling for the Dodgers; I am pulling for him and the Dodgers are just along for the ride.

Go get ‘em, boys.
Stand your ground—10 toes down—and fight for what you believe.

This is so easy. Stay out of politics and nobody gets upset. If some LGBTQ groups gets mad that you don’t have a dedicated night to them, chances are they weren’t your target demo anyway.

Corporate sponsors have something to say about that. They're why it's not nearly as easy as you think.

About fricking time.
But this has been going on for years now because The Left has mostly successfully redefined their pet issues as "human rights" and everything else is "political."
This, forcing BLACK LIVES MATTER onto players is a human right, but having a player say ALL LIVES MATTER is political.
People need to stop falling for this dishonest framing.

Hold your breath if you think the NBAPA will ever do anything like this.

Old saying about playing for the team on your cap. Not the name on your jersey. If you don't want to do employer stuff, quit. Settle your contract and try another team. Go hang out in Cabo while your agent handles business. One of those privileges you get from frick you money.

So you’re against collective bargaining?

Depends on what Beijing tells them to do

They are there to sell a product. If their product is food then stay in you lane and sell food. Overwhelming majority doesn’t want to hear from them about social or political issues/ views. Those who demand a company take a stand probably is not the market intended and just starting trash .

Not at all. I'm pro union. This seems to be a personal thing for Kershaw and not a credible workplace grievance. Unless having delicate sensibilities offended is now part of the MLB CBA.

You should go into pretzel manufacturing.
If I work for any fricking company that publicly makes a big show of supporting something obnoxious while they make money off my name and likeness then they are saying that I support whatever obnoxious stance they take unless I stand up and say something about it.
You really are a fricking moron.

I don’t think you understand collective bargaining at all.
Strike it. I’m certain you don’t understand it.
Furthermore, you’re a trolling bitch arse fricktard and the board would lose no content if you fell over dead. It’s unclear if the world would lose anything. Certainly not any mental candlepower.

So, why can’t the top stars put in their contracts that the team cannot sponsor/endorse/discuss political issues while star is member of team.
If the team wants to win they will cave to the demands (if enough stars did this). If all stars asked for this clause then sports can get out of politics for good.

How is expecting not to have your religious views mocked on the job site not a credible workplace grievance?
