Morgan was not on 1B recently
If that was the case I wonder what it was if he was out diving for balls in left field
did he hurt his hand possibly in an at bat that gave him less wear and tear in the OF

Now that you mention it I think I do recall him getting plucked on the hand pretty good during an AB

I don't buy any other reasoning than him trying to get the best bats in the lineup. Until Pearson recently started hitting, Tre in LF is the best move for the team.

When Jones was hitting you had to have him in the lineup and the only way to do that was put him at first. When he stopped and Pearson started you move Morgan to first.

It’s pretty amazing to have such a deep team that when one dude hits a wall there is another experienced bat there to play.

Tre at first base is the best move for the team.
Beloso and Jones were terrible at 1st, and it takes a good bit to be bad at 1st b/c it's the easiest position on the field to play.

He's an exceptional 1st baseman and the difference between him and Jones/Beloso is huge. Tre isn't some huge upgrade over Pearson in the outfield, if any b/c Tre has a pretty weak arse arm. As long as Pearson is hitting decent, he needs to be in the field so Tre can be at 1st. And Pearson is coming along lately while Beloso and Jones have been struggling just a bit at the plate.

I liked inserting Pearson early in the lineup, and having Thompson/Jobert/Dugas at 7/8/9. That's got to be frustating for opposing pitchers to have to get through our linup and then you have the bottom 3 guys coming up and there's 34 homers between them and they all have a obp over .400. Good luck buddy, then the best hitter in college baseball is waiting for you after that. It's a devesting lineup.

Travinski coming around HUGE the last 5 to 6 weeks has also made it impossible to keep him out of the lineup, hence the disappearance of Jones. Now Pearson is coming around at the right time.

Helluva problem to navigate!!

He definitely has a hand injury at some point.

Maybe Beloso but Jones wasn’t terrible. Definitely Bethany Beloso but not as good as Morgan which maybe one or two in the ncaa are

Not sure if that's why, but he's been wearing Jobert's hand guard the last few games....not sure if anybody else noticed that.

I’m pumped that Pearson seems to be getting hot. He’s always a tough out, and if he can keep it going he’s going to be huge for us.
I love Jones’ power but here late in season we need consistency.

What injury could you possibly have to keep you from playing 1st but stay in left?

Does a 1st basemen receive more in his glove hand than a LF'er?

Jones twice point blanked missed a ball that hit his glove this season. That's unacceptable for any 1st baseman over the age of 11.

That would explain his throws from the outfield. It’s looked like he has struggled to get the throw in from left field at times.

A lot more when you take into account throws on grounders and pick off throws.

I believe you responded to a rhetorical question.
