And our sovereign God created all of this by speaking it into existence.

This happened 21 years ago and just finding out about it. We could all be dead now and not know it yet

Wouldn’t this be 21 million years ago?

We'd all be dead if it was only 21 light years away.

Technically, it went supernova 168,000 years ago. Or 21 years ago...

Educate me here. The year on Earth was 2002 when star went super nova... right?

I think this is missing a few zeros.

If it’s 21 light years away from Earth, and we just noticed the light from the supernova, that means it happened 21 years ago.

It took 21 years for the light to travel at light speed to get here. Hence 21 light years.

No, actually the closet star from Earth (besides the Sun) is Proxima Centauri which is 4.24 light years away, or 25,946,102,088,000 miles. That’s 25.9 trillion miles. Or 6 trillion less than our national debt.

Speed of light = 186,282 miles per second = 11,176,920 miles per minute = 670,615,200 miles per hour = 16,765,380,000 miles per day = 6,119,363,700,000 miles per year x 4.24 light years = 25,946,102,088,000 miles

This star is in a different Galaxy

It is not 21 light years away. It’s supposed to say 21 million.

If light from the sun takes 9 minutes to get to earth (93 million miles), that's about 10 million miles per minute.

525600 minutes/year x 10 million miles x 21 years = 110,376,000,000,000 miles

21 million light years like some kind of bazillion number or some shite
