There were so many interesting and excellent submissions that votes were spread all across the board, which means y’all nailed it. It also means I had to count and recount several times because the votes were very close.

Except for the winner, whose first place win was significant. Congrats!

NOLAGT - Caramelized Vidalia Onion Ice Cream topped with bourbon cream caramel and fried pecans

Jax-Tiger - The Ultimate Onion Burger

Darla Hood - Creamed Pearl Onions w/Shallots and Crispy Red Onion

Trout Bandit - French Onion Soup Pizza

Again, lots of people received a good number of votes because all of the entries were top notch. Thank you to those who spend the time, energy, creative brain power and money to play along.

SUBMISSIONS FOR ONION CHALLENGE

Also, thanks to voters and viewers!

It has not been done. I will let others chime in with opinions, but yours is the one that matters.

I'm not a beer drinker, but it can be used in many dishes. I always use it in my chili.

Beer cheese soups
Beer cheese dips
Braising meats and sausages
Beer breads
Fish and chips and other foods using batters
Stews
Sauces
Marinades
Desserts

Off the top of my head.
