Additional weapon, bow, and shield slots.

One thing that's going to be hard for me to remember is when you pick an item to fuse with an arrow, once you select it Link will fire. I've wasted a few because I wasn't already aiming at what I was going for.

If you're just standing there, and you tap the aim button (do not hold it down), Link will just pull out his bow. Then you can fuse an item to your arrow, and it won't shoot automatically.

Can you travel the Depths fully? I feel like I hit multiple walls that are just way too high. It feels like I need to enter in a different chasm from the surface.

I don't believe you can go from one side of the Depths to the other without leaving. I could totally be wrong, however.

Having the Sky Islands, Surface Hyrule and the Depths it's almost like three separate games.

Add in the Construct factor with the Overhand ability and it's damned near a 4th one. I still forget sometimes that Ascend is possible. You have to completely retrain how you approach puzzles in some instances.

It's gotta be blowing NoJ out of the water how people are approaching many of the solutions from outside the box. I saw a WSJ article today about how some folks are spending a ridiculous amount of time exploring the tutorial Sky Islands. One chick glued 22 logs together to get around one obstacle.

You're never going to convince me that some corporate dude at Nintendo thought that would occur to someone.

Just having one Switch and 3 people wanting to play TotK just isn't cutting it. Might have to buy a 2nd switch. Our's is a launch era switch with the shitty battery life. Would love something with better battery life in hand held mode. I think the Lite is a non-starter with the tiny screen. My eyes have enough problems with the OG switch. Starting to troll FB Marketplace for a good deal.

I followed the main story line and did enough quests to get the glider. And started unlocking the great Fairies. Then for the stealth suit. At that point in the game I turned the HUD off by entering pro mode display. Now I'm up to 2 full stamina circles and I'm going from tall point to tall point gliding across the map looking for shrines and towers. I don't even attempt many of the shrines just activate them on the map for later and continue my journey across the map. Avoiding bag guys. Climbing. Rewinding rocks from the sky. And lots of gliding just exploring. Once I get 4-8 shrines found I'll do back and solve a bunch of them back to back.

This skill is one I am constantly forgetting. I keep seeing black rocks fall from the sky and think, hmm, there's nothing on there. Must just be for effects to have it fall. Didn't think I could reverse time and ride it back up.

Is that what we're supposed to do with those? I had no idea.

They just released a patch, so it the duplication glitch might have been fixed. I'm not sure yet, but I had turned off automatic updates the day before last.

Sounds like we're doing the same exact thing. I've been playing a lot, and still haven't made any real main story progress. But now that you mention it, I'll probably wait to do a bunch of shrines all at once instead of completing when I see them since it's annoying to finish one and realize you're still 1-3 orbs away from getting another part of the stamina wheel.

How do y'all prioritize heart containers over stamina, or vice versa? It always feels like I should be focusing on stacking the other.

I go for the three stamina wheels before going for any hearts. The main reason being that, if you have full hearts and get attacked, you won't die from just one hit (it will only drop to a quarter of one heart). Once I have three full stamina wheels, then I start going for heart's.

I just started playing yesterday. In that opening sequence when the three non-elemental bats show up and Zelda is all "OMG are you ok Link?!?" I couldn't help but think holy shite. Do you not remember what I just went through in Breath?

Speaking of which, how long after Breath does this take place?

Most discussion I'm seeing is between 3 to 5 years.

Here's a whole breakdown of the timelines.

I like to add a stamina wheel before adding hearts. Worth keeping in mind you get a heart container for completing the main dungeons as well.

Seems like fairies are pretty easy to find in this game, which also makes it easier to focus on stamina

I haven't found the first one. I did find one Great Fairy Fountain but she doesn't want to open her garlic bulb until the band returns to the adjacent stable.

I did the wind temple last night, that was fun. Except the climb up. I've put in like 8 hours, and I felt like I've barely done anything lol.

I can’t get this dup glitch to work consistently. It’s not worth it for me right now. I think I spent 30 mins getting two star fragments.
