2nd got my hopes up. Of course, Money was dealing nicely at times too. I think the talent is in our pen it’s the brains that are the issues.

I think you could throw Money out there on Sundays.

Be fine giving up a few home runs and hits. As long as he can keep it the strike zone and not spot the other team 5 runs on walks.

Honestly a few solo shots aren’t gonna kill you most Sundays. Kinda like how Floyd can typically shake back after a homer or two. Just avoid giving them up after walks

I been saying the same thing. At least he doesn't walk batters.

Yep, at least he’s capable of giving you 5-6 innings or 100 pitches. All he has to do is keep the ball down in the zone and he’s fine, hasn’t allowed a base runner in his last 5-6 innings. Hurd looked good but hasn’t gone through 9 hitters for a long time. He’s a 1-2 inning guy right now.

Money’s problem is when he gets down in the count he throws the meatball down the pipe instead of at the corners. Some nights he hangs his curve.

He shook off a lead off hit, walk and a WP to only give up 1 and strike out 5 through 2.1 innings.

I mean hell if Money gives up 6 on a Sunday we should still be winning those games most times.

Even if he can throw 5 and give up 3-4 runs that’s an ERA of over 6-7 but you’re still gonna win 90% of those games. Think A.J. LeBas, his ERA was between 5.50 and 6.00 but he gave us innings and really was the key to turning that season around.

Rough start - leadoff single, walk, wild pitch, gave up a run. Smooth-sailing afterwards.

In fairness, he threw 3 strikes to the 1st guy that walked and only had one called.
