Campaign 2024

Senator Tim Scott Town Hall in Iowa

Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) hosted a town hall with voters in Waukee, Iowa, about a month after he announced the formation of an exploratory committee for a potential 2024 presidential run. He told the audience his life story, and took questions on a number of topics, including border security, fentanyl abuse, and his relationships with Iowa Republicans.

He is establishment's runner up choice-no doubt.

But I credit him for the off the cuff town hall. He has people skills and charisma.

By God, when the GOP first pushed Tim Scott anyone with brain function could and can see he is an establishment guy. Turtle was shaking with excitement pushing Tim Scott.

Did you miss the part where Mitch called him the future of the party? If you don't think Tim is an establishment guy that means you yourself are an establishment guy

Still an open borders, America last globalist.

For all you GOPe types, cat's out of the bag and you can't put it back in.

I understand going to states that support your party, but if I were running I would go into the heart of the other party. I would welcome an audience of voters who may be under served by their majority representation.

He has more charisma than DeSantis. Ron DeSantis couldn't do a town hall like that. Without memorized RubioRoboto notes prep, & he would bop his head.

Plus he couldn't answer on any foreign policy w/o sounding like Turtle or he would get cut off by his overlords.

Wanna know how I know you vote only based on your feels?
quote:

Donors who have given to DeSantis over the past year or two are still open to supporting him for president, but they’re also starting to take a look at other potential candidates like Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.

quote:

Tim Scott, the apple of many a Senate Republican’s eye, and Glenn Youngkin, who has nowhere to go after his one term as Virginia governor ends in 2025, are probably the proto-candidates to watch if DeSantis takes a powder. If either of these Republican Establishment favorites jump in, things could get interesting.

Ron DeSantis and Tim Scott are the ticket to beat Trump

quote:

Tim Scott declines to say whether he'd back the 2024 GOP presidential nominee if it's Trump
