I just had a tooth fall out. I had two baby teeth that I had never lost. One on each side of my lower jaw. I was eating and one came out. The roots had dissolved like baby teeth do.

1. Since nothing is coming in behind it, I assune I will need a bridge. Is this something to take care of urgently or can I do it at my convenience?

2. Can I expect to lose the other tooth?

Not super urgent, but I'd get it looked as sooner rather than later. I would go with an implant over a bridge if there is enough bone present.

Maybe, maybe not. Seen a few baby teeth in people 75+ years old

Did your dentist never discuss this with you at your regular check-ups?

X-rays and regular dental exams would've shown the tooth was loose and the roots were compromised.

Don't get any cavities because I scarf down both caniacs, which by the way fill me up completely, in under a minute.

I had an upper wisdom tooth that was described as having resorption, being absorbed within itself, and formed a hollow centered. It was easily pulled with not much resistance. It never bothered me though before nor after.

Get an implant baw. You don’t want a bridge.

Implant over bridge to preserve your jawbone and save the adjacent teeth.

I also wouldn’t wait too long, as your other teeth will begin to shift.

Missing teeth in those particular locations are pretty common. There is a longterm need to replace. I always tell my patients 18 wheelers have 18 wheels for a reason, they care a big load. The mouth is similar in that it takes tremendous compression forces.
Statically speaking Implants are far superior to fixed posterior bridges.
A well placed implant has a 97% success rate at 10 years.
A posterior fixed bridge on the other hand has a 50% success rate at 7 years.
Probably not a big difference in price.
Hope this helps
