Is it time to get rid of the options to fill in a "home phone" number

I don't really know anyone with a home phone anymore besides really old boomers yet most places still make you fill out a home phone and cell phone number when entering personal information

I still know some old people with rotary dial phones.

i'll let the people who make forms know.

They should just relabel it "Personal" to correspond with the "Work" number field and be done with it.

For fricks sake. You really thought this deserved a thread?

We still have a home phone number. It's part of our cable package. I have no problem putting it down on forms. The ringer is turned off and we haven't answered it in years.

I have a home phone also will use it occasionally and the security guards use it to call the house for people coming in. I am sure I could change that.. Tied into my cable package also.

You know what the alternate is, right?

if I want you to have my number, you get my cell. If I don't, you get the main office line. It's kinda simple

Still better than Oweo

It’s optional. How does it affect you negatively or inconvenience you to see that empty box on any form?

I didn't even know our office number when I needed it... I had to look it up. If I need someone I use their cell and I am not going to call like a savage, I am going to send a text.

I have a landline because I don’t get cell service where I live. I can do Wi-Fi calling but the African spaceman’s internet isn’t the most reliable.

We still have school buses stopping at railroad tracks so don't get your hopes up for progress.

I have one as part of my cable package also. I mainly keep it for the kids to use in case of an emergency since they don’t have cell phones yet.

Wow. Comparing yourself to Oweo isn’t helping your case.

Same here. But I use it to make calls that I know will take a while. It is a better connection that a cell phone and it is also way more comfortable to talk on for long periods.
