One that always pops into my head was the opossum delay/rally.

A different kind of crazy but giving the team that just beat us in a super regional a victory lap has to be up there

I just hope he was gentle. Gives new meaning to the 7th inning stretch.

That lit the team on fire. I forget if it was game 2 or 3 that Leon Landry made 2 or 3 incredible catches (and one hell of an attempt that rebounded off the wall to hit him in the face and pull him out of the game).

That half inning against Ga. Tech I left work in Port Allen and almost made it to Thibodeaux before they got 3 outs on the way to my camp.

I was there. It was incredible. There was another moment later that year that I bet you can tell me exactly where you were and what you were doing.

When Skip Bertman turned his cap backwards to chew out the ump against Vandy on Friday night in 2001. Their right fielder Blue dropped a ball on the warning track that night too. On Sunday Bryan Moore was 5-5 and Vandy plunked him on the first pitch in his 6th plate appearance and it cleared the benches.

When Mestepey beat Arkansas in 1 hour and 51 minutes on Friday night in 2002.

In 1996, I was at an NCAA regional game against Georgia Tech that just came unglued during a single inning. I think it started with Warren Morris striking out, then the team had the entire line-up reach base on consecutive at-bats (had like 8 doubles and 17 or 18 runs). Then Morris struck out again and everyone assumed it was the third out and started running for the dug-out, but it was only the second out.

I just thought of one…

The time the bat when flying into ULL’s dugout, the batter was ejected because both teams were already at each others’ throats, ready to fight.

I thought I was the only one who remembered this. I was actually telling my wife (no pics) about this tonight.

Pretty sure Skip was yelling at the ump, got ejected, then turned that hat backwards and really had a go. It was awesome.
