Breaking scoopage: it’s done
@Ravens and @Lj_era8 have agreed to a new five-year deal

Lamar Jackson's 5-year deal makes him the NFL's highest-paid player, right over Jalen Hurts -- who got a 5-year, $255M deal recently.
@AdamSchefter
Compensation update: Lamar Jackson’s five-year deal is worth $260 million, including $185 million guaranteed, per sources. On an average per year basis, it makes Jackson the NFL’s new highest-paid player.

More than Hurts got apparently. Playing hardball worked out for him in the end. I'm surprised by that.

What are the chances he plays all 5 years?

and the Ravens still won’t win shite.

Injury before week 6 is inevitable

Making the playoffs but not doing anything is still better than going 7-10 and getting owned by Joe Burrow every year.

I’m anxiously awaiting the terms and figures.

Scratch Baltimore off of the list of Super Bowl contenders for the next five years. They're usually such a smart franchise. I'm stunned they blinked.

Excited to hear from everyone who said Lamar lost money from not having an agent. Even if this contract is 3% lower, he breaks even.
Not to mention, sometimes taking a risk doesn’t pay off. Doesn’t mean it was a bad decision.

The only difference between 7-10 and a Wild Card loss is about 10 spots in the draft order.

Is it a hot take to say I'd rather Justin Fields over Lamar Jackson?
Posted on 4/27/23 at 3:40 pm to Jwho77
Dude could barely spell out a coherent sentence, I doubt he can lead his team to the superbowl.

Ravens have only lost one time in the Wild Card round with Lamar as their starting QB and that was during his rookie year.

I'm curious what the guarantees are, since that was what was holding things up allegedly.
