Gasp - it’s now illegal to go onto someone’s private property for the purpose of threatening or intimidating them?!

It's getting harder and harder to not see Trump as a regular politician...

Desantis gets coveted Paul Ryan endorsement
“DeSantis didn’t raise $200+ million, with 94% coming from billionaires and multinational corporations, for a gubernatorial reelection race in Florida. Keep in mind all of the major expenses (television ads, mailers, etc.) are coming from outside PACs and affiliated groups.”

Ron DeSantis issued the following statement in response to Ambassador Bolton’s contribution to his campaign:
"Ambassador Bolton has a keen understanding of the dangers posed to the United States ranging from North Korean aggressions to the threat of a nuclear Iran. I'm proud to stand with him in confronting these daunting challenges and wholeheartedly appreciate his support."

It's pretty clear Ron would be an Israel cuck. But, pretty much everyone is. Kush probably had too much influence on Trump.

Why don’t Donboiz want to respect private property?

Yeah, I'm sure that was not ALREADY illegal...
Let's get to the point most people here are ACTUALLY going to be displeased with:
quote:
requires violations be reported as hate crimes; prohibits display or projection of images onto building, structure, or property without permission; prohibits person who willfully enters campus of state university or Florida College System institution for purpose of threatening or intimidating another person from remaining on such campus after being warned to depart.
1) "We" as conservatives, do not need to be adopting the same language as the left vis a vis "hate crimes." I did not like it when Trump referred to "hate crimes," and I don't like it when ANYONE refers to "hate crimes." It is a meaningless distinction and there is no such thing as a "hate crime" under our Constitutionally-established government.
2) What is "threatening or intimidating another person" on a college campus? If I wanted to go hold up a sign saying "Men need to stop showering with our daughters," 95% of kids at FSU are going to cry and say that's "threatening" to them.
This "new" law does not actually make anything illegal that was not already illegal. It just adds in these nebulous "hate crime" portions. Let's look at ACTUAL language from the bill:
quote:
784.0493 Harassment or intimidation based on religious or
71 ethnic heritage.—
72 (1) As used in this section, the terms "credible threat"
73 and "harass" have the same meaning as in s. 784.048(1).
74 (2) A person may not willfully and maliciously harass or
75 intimidate another person based on the person's wearing or
76 displaying of any indicia relating to any religious or ethnic
77 heritage.
78 (3) A person who violates subsection (2) commits a
79 misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s.
80 775.082 or s. 775.083.
81 (4) A person who violates subsection (2), and in the
82 course of committing the violation makes a credible threat to
83 the person who is the subject of the harassment or intimidation,
84 commits a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in
85 s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
86 (5) A violation of this section is considered a hate crime
87 for purposes of the reporting requirements of s. 877.19.
Was harassing someone legal in Florida until this bill's passage? Or did they just pass this bill to add in some "hate crime" legislation?

How much does Ron pay you per post?

Did you read any more of the bill?

Florida didn’t have trespassing laws before this?

This is from June 2017. When did Trump hire Bolton?
Posted on 4/27/23 at 9:02 am to Kelly_Slater
Someone else literally hired Bolton before this...

This, of course, is bullshite.
It's noted that you're a big fan of them, though.

I am never for more laws and really don't see what this bill accomplishes other than giving people more avenues to abuse the law against people they disagree with.
It's just another way for people to make false claims and get people in trouble legally.
