Nasty bastards got into one of my smoke detectors and set it off at 2:00 AM! They’re starting to swarm. Saw some dead ones on the front porch this morning.

Seem a little worse than last year. Not completely horrible, but they tick.

On the couch in Slidell and one flew at my face. Entire family went DEFCON 1.

Tonight we are preemptively lights out, so maybe that will help. Last night we had the usual lights on for hours before noticing they were swarming.

They are all over the place at my house tonight. I turned off every light. Looks like the power is out outside.

This may be the worst I’ve ever seen them in Mandeville. Driving down 59 looked like the Portal to Hell had opened up.

The bug man told me in 2016 it’s within a week of Mother’s Day and has been right every single year since then.

Not a single one at 7:50, attacked my flood light at 8:20 when I took out the trash.

We are in the Jones Creek area. I noticed them all over every outside light a few minutes ago when I was covering my grill. I turned them all off hoping they'll go to the neighbors.
