Miami Starting QB Tyler Van Dyke and Bama

Lot of rumors going around twitter about Miami starting QB Tyler Van Dyke and entering the portal, mainly to transfer to Bama. Appears to have legs as UM mods on their 247 site have stated:
“ We're not going to say too much because we hesitate to discuss players that haven’t announced intentions to hit the portal or until they officially enter the portal, but I just wanted to come on here and confirm that this situation is one they're working through internally and we are monitoring it closely. This is a new age of college football where you have to constantly be recruiting your own roster.
9:45 am Update: I'm of the understanding that Miami's NIL people are meeting with Tyler Van Dyke's representation at some point today. Let's see what comes of it.”

Hasn’t he had one foot out the door since like halfway through last season? The idea of him in a Bama uniform does nothing to scare me.

Some of the higher-profile players have the ability to test NIL loyalty and happiness by threatening to transfer or else.
This is more about Ruiz and his supposedly deep pockets. Or are they really that deep?

BAMA wouldn’t be looking for a transfer QB if they felt like they had one in-house they liked. 3 deep and all these superstar blue chips and there’s not one?
But sure. The QB situation at BAMA seems fine. If that’s what you want me to believe, then sure, I’ll go ahead and believe it.

The last transfer QB Bama got, who was from Florida State, rode the bench his first year at Alabama.

I don't care what you personally believe. The magic portal is one hell of a reality in college sports and that is something we are all a part of Einstein.
What I'm telling you is that all this propaganda out in the Twitterverse is a Miami problem. If Mario and his staff thought it was great to expose this kid's intention or if it was just a pissing contest with TVD's agent and Ruiz, it's a bad look for everyone. All sides are being blamed by Hurricane fans, questioning NIL money and a divided locker room, and frankly, these are always the unintended consequences every time a big name makes his move.
In the meantime, here in Rantland BAMA will always live rent-free.
