Looking forward to Memorial Day, Junteenth, and Independence day, what are the best drugs to give dogs who get stressed out from fireworks/gunfire etc?

You would rather drug your dog instead of just putting them inside/away from the fireworks?

My outside dog sleeps in my shop. I just turn up the stereo and let it play all night.

I buy the good stuff. Vinyl Siding and Sheetrock won't protect them from the freedom that I display in the cul de sac.

I cant wait to celebrate Juneteenth, the day where slaves in Northern states like Kentucky and Delaware were still slaves.

Check with your vet on the dosage, but allergy pills like Benadryl work pretty well to knock dogs out. I know a few times when my dog’s allergies were especially bad, that 3rd pill of the day usually turned her into a zombie.

Of course they'd never have to piss or shite outside in the 8 or so hours of fireworks. They don't use no liter box baw.

I had an old lab that got scared of thunder/fireworks at 10 or 11 years old. I think we were giving him trazadol? (might be trazadone) for it and it worked well. I've read that ace is more of a chemical straight jacket and doesn't really do anything to alleviate the anxiety.

Keeping a dog who experiences firework anxiety inside does nothing if the fireworks are relatively close. If you can hear them, you know the dog can hear them.
