Movies you’d actually like to see a sequel or prequel to?

Watching Practical Magic for about the billionth time, I’ve realized this is one of those movies I’d love to see a sequel to. Technically, there is one in Alice Hoffman’s book series that the movie is based off of so there’s content there to adapt.
Any movies come to mind?
*Note: Imagine a faithful adaptation that would be in the spirit of the original*

Friend,
A Walk to Remember is ripe for a prequel.

Key aspect here.
No one asked for a sequel to TOP GUN, yet they pulled it off.
Same with *Karate Kid. (Sure, it's a series, but still.)
if we go by the OP's standards, there are tons of movies I'd like to see.
* Right . There was a sequel. And a rebooted version. I meant a follow up to the original decades later.

Which is why I noted it. Didn’t want this thread to turn into a “(insert company here) would just screw it up” thread and am genuinely curious what people would like to see (and why).

A sequel to The Professional, but only if Natalie Portman was starring as Mathilda.

Star Wars Original Trilogy.

Always the correct answer.

Apparently there was a desire for one in the 80s. Cruise turned it down because he didn't want to get solely identified with the role so early on and risk it not performing. He definitely played his hand well doing everything he wanted to do before following up with the sequel.

Cloverfield. Not counting the existing ones.

I don't remember it, but I guess in the industry maybe? With Die Hard, Lethal Weapon and other franchises, I can understand the appeal.

Do a sequal and pick up right where it ended.
