Tre Morgan. If you can play SS usually you are fine at 2b

Nippolt is the likely play but Guidry is frontrunner right now for SS next year and needs playing time. Guidry needs to do some Austin Bain stuff.

Most likely nippolt.. real question is who leads off.. will this force tre into the spot, idk.. tough decision considering Dugas really locked down that spot.

Please no. I don’t see why Nippolt wouldn’t start while Dugas is out

Honestly if Jobert can be good at 3rd I wouldn't mind seeing him try to play 2nd in a midweek game. But not against Kentucky who hits the ball on the ground and plays small ball in a weekend series. If Dugas is out for significant time I wouldn't mind seeing the experiment with Jobert at 2nd. But Jay did say the trainer didn't think Dugas's injury was a big deal. Hopefully that means he won't be out of the lineup for long.

It'll probably be Nippolt but I'd like to see Merrifield.

If it's just a separated shoulder for Dugas, he shouldn't be gone for long.

I would move Jobert to third, white to DH and Pearson to right and leading off.

Jobert to 2nd?

Nippolt or Merrifield if Jay brings in the obvious replacement.

Pearson if he tosses in a wildcard.

Probably Nippolt today, Merrifield tomorrow. But, you probably have to start thinking about how to use Guidry in a dual role and/or getting Pearson some grounders at 2B, too.

I think Nippolt and Merrifield could provide some value if something clicks, but you have to be 2 steps ahead.
