Looking to purchase rural property for future home build and small farm (cows, chickens, goats).

I have twice filled out the contact me form on Louisiana Land Bank website with my number, email and all relevant information and have yet to receive any communication.

Does anyone have a direct contact they could share or any other recs beside Louisiana Land Bank?

Thanks

Call the local office in whatever parish you plan to buy the property.

You have to call them...they aren't the most technically savvy bank. I had to fill out a paper application and fax it to them . We ended up not buying the property but they were easy to work with and had good rates for raw land.

Sorry baw we’re great resetting now

Your cbdb will buy a nice pod and some bugs

I used First South here in MS. No problems, good rate.

Same here. We get pretty much a months note back every year with their dividend or whatever they call it.

I talked to the guy in Zachary, but ended up buying in MS so I went through the McComb branch.

Got my check last week, not quite as much as the few previous years, but a nice chunk , well over one months note

I've had loans with LA land bank and first south. Both offer the patronage which is great

La land bank has been able to get deals funded for me that first south hasn't been.

I use Ronnie Bennett with LA land bank.

Thanks for the recs.

Can't get a call back from the LA Land Bank contact even though the secretary at the bank gave me his cell number.

Jeremy Clostio with First South Farm Credit out of Crowley has been great to work with.

15 year, 8.4%, 20% down works for me in this market.

He stated the Patronage payment equates to reducing the note by roughly just under 1% so the effective rate would be 7.6%, so a tad more than 1 months payment returned yearly.

My name is Clayton Thompson with First South Farm credit. Ashley is no longer doing land loans, I am the loan officer that took her place. Feel free to email me at cthompson@firstsouthland.com or call my office 225-658-0596 for any questions you may have.

Louisiana Land Bank is a great bank with a great organization of leaders! All farm credit is and the patronage system is a major plus in a rising interest rate environment. To be able to get money back in your pocket is always a plus like mentioned above. Hate you had a bad experience. Not normal with my experience with any farm credit association.
