The “You can’t see me” gesture is no worse than doing a horns down or gator chomp

If you’re going to call out Angel for that, then call out everybody else who has been doing these gestures for the last 30 years

LoL... It's not that she did it...it's that she chased a girl down in the final seconds of the NC game, just go celebrate and griddy like the rest of the team...y'all are acting like she got in her face at tip off

Caitlin Clark had been talking smack during the entire tournament. Heck she did it in their last game vs USCe.
Angel Reese is also a competitor. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
Burrow turned around and waved goodbye to half of UT's stadium just before the game was over. Were you ok with that? Or him flashing the five fingers to Vanderbilt's sidelines? Or the "gimme a ring" motion.
They're allowed to celebrate.

None of that is singling out an individual and taunting them. This is what Richard Sherman did to Crabtree and it was gross.
If Clark was pointedly taunting an individual LSU player then she deserved it, otherwise it was bad sportsmanship.

No, it isn't targeting an individual. It's targeting a group of individuals. Some being opposing fans, some being opposing players. But Burrow waving goodbye is most definitely taunting. So is flashing the 5 fingers to the Vanderbilt sidelines referring to the 5 TDs he threw for that day. I wasn't bothered by it. He still does it. It's not being cocky if you back it up. Same thing applies with the women's basketball team.
And she hardly ran down and got in Clark's face. She did it from about 10 feet away.
I don't understand why some of y'all are so bothered by this.

She had been doing it throughout the tournament, like I said. As great as she is, she shouldn't talk a lot of smack and when she loses a game, the opposing team (whoever it might be) and they've been seeing you jaw jack all the time and give you a taste of your own medicine.
I'm glad she celebrated.

Then dish out the trash talk during the competition, not when it's over

LoL..that is correct when you win you celebrate, you don't start talking trash.

So you'd rather her trash talk during the game rather than play the game itself?
They earned the win.

Waving a hand in front of your face is talking trash?
Interesting how you left out how Clark did it through the entire tournament. She earned the win against USCe and still did it.
She's an excellent player and I'm not bothered by Reese doing a gesture. It's not like she flipped her off.
She was celebrating.

That makes it more badass considering the player she chased down had been talking shite to her teammate all game. Having you team’s back is nothing to be criticized for.

Exactly.

I guess maybe you are 12 and don't understand competition, things get heated in the battle ..when it's over you shake hands and then celebrate

Trash talking... taunting.. same thing really are you that dense ?

So Angel was just picking up the slack for the other 62 teams in the tournament..that makes no sense.. I honestly don't even care about it really but I am just baffled that the vast majority can't see the difference between talking trash/taunting during the game vs the MVP feeling compelled to chase down the other teams beat player and arguably the best player in the tournament in the last few seconds to taunt her when the game is over...just makes no sense

Don't get defensive.
I'm simply asking if you would rather her talk trash during the game instead of focusing on actually winning the game. Which is exactly what she did.

I'm almost certain she spoke very highly of Clark and the Iowa team.

Again, no need to get defensive.
The game was over. She was celebrating.

Where did I say this? Or even suggest it.
My point was that if Clark dishes it out, and other teams see it, and then they beat her and her team, as awesome as a player that she is, the other team will more than likely give her a taste of her "trash talk" as you put it.
That's all I was getting at.

feeling compelled to chase down the other teams beat player
This didn't happen. She did it from at least 10 feet away and it was sort of a passing moment. She hardly got in her face. Stop making up stuff.

Now it makes sense.. you haven't seen the multiple clips...you have no idea what happened

I saw it happen live.
Unless you were on the court and saw her say "F your family" or something, you don't know anymore than anyone else.
I saw it on tv like everyone else did and she didn't say that (you'll agree, yes?) and did the gesture. The game was over. Her team beat the best woman player in collegiate basketball who also talks a lot of smack. I'm ok with it.
Regardless, I am perfectly fine with her celebrating.
I'm not going to argue about this when the program won the first ever national championship in basketball (men or women) and put more emphasis into a gesture being made rather than being happy for the team, the players, the coach and the fans.
But you be you.

Jesus Christ! We can't have someone getting their feelings hurt over a stupid gesture. Nobody loses...Participation trophies for everyone.

Do I like Reese chasing her down to do that gesture? Not really. Is it really offensive enough to talk about? Not really. Did Clark have it coming with her own behavior this tourney? Absolutely.

This is the right take. It was not a great look and in hindsight she probably wouldn't do it again. But, when you are a competitor and are in the heat of the moment you sometimes just react. It was MINOR in the context of winning a 'ship and most people who are really upset with it is just looking for something to dislike about her or LSU.
Like the old saying goes--to the Victor goes the spoils--at least I think that is it--GO TIGERS!!!

Why is everybody such a little bitch these days. Reese gave Clark the business and is allowed to frick with her.
Posted on 4/3/23 at 5:01 am to WDAIII
Again, it’s not the gesture that some folks were upset over, rather the timing and the way it appeared Davis sought out the Clark girl.
I don’t care what they do, but I just wish folks would at the very least narrow down what exactly caused the uproar.
BTW, if someone is actually upset over the gesture itself, they haven’t been watching much college athletics.

Exactly when is a good time to taunt? For the people so against it.
Clark did the same gesture after beating Louisville. And yes, if you watch the video, it was absolutely directed at Louisville's best player. My goodness, Clark had it coming to her. She's not even upset about it. No one should care.
It's ridiculous this is getting so much coverage.
