Many companies pay for the MBA, which can be done online. Mine did, however I wouldn’t go into debt getting one. It’s a checkbox at many companies.

I love how college educated peeps try to flex their degree when highly efficient go getters without a degree have to pay off the dumbasses student loans.

Wouldn't you say it depends on the degree? Accounting, engineering, architecture, finance, medicine, law, etc. are not dismissive degrees.

I highly doubt WM is offering $90k to drivers.

I believe that they can get MBAs from mediocre programs for $60k.

ETA: WM isn’t exactly getting looks from top shelf MBA candidates, either.

Yea the 90k only comes if you work twice the amount a typical driver does.

Probably have you doing residential all day and then commercial all night.

Give me the 60k for 45 hours a week all damn day.

Cue roger for saying I’m soft and lazy for not wanted to sit and drive a garbage for 14 hours a day.

At some point, you might think it would make sense as an overall society, to start encouraging young able bodied individuals, who are done with high school and fully qualified and capable of moving on to earn something like an MBA, to put that off for a few years and do something like drive a garbage truck.

I was in Western Australia a few years ago. I was told that after high school it is not uncommon for young folks to take a few years off and travel and work odd jobs while touring the country. Apparently when they go bored of that lifestyle they decide on college, a stable job or whatever.

In the US education has become a huge business, mostly supported by student loans, so high school seniors are pressured to go straight to college.

Nope, but judging by the average person I’ve interacted with them over the years it’s obviously not that difficult.
