I don’t understand your post, but I really enjoyed the pilot.

What platform is this appearing on?

Is this actually related to BB/BCS at all? I've seen several times it connected to that universe, but it didn't make sense to me.

Nope, it's just Odenkirk playing an aging English Department head.

I read the novel it's based on years ago. So far, the show has been pretty good.
Suzanne Cryer (Professor Gracie DuBois) is a favorite. She was the stick-up-her-arse Laurie Bream on Silicon Valley.

Wife and I watched the pilot last night. It was great. Very funny.

All of Russo's books are excellent, especially the first five - Mohawk, The Risk Pool, Nobody's Fool (adapted into a great movie with Bruce Willis, Paul Newman, Jessica Tandy, and Melanie Griffith who shows her titties), Straight Man, and Empire Falls (adapted into an HBO miniseries) .

Would have never guessed in a million years, those two women were the same person. I would have to check the dates but I am guessing Cryer was much older than I would guessed in Silicon Valley.

IIRC she played George's GF in Seinfeld. So she's that old.

are we not doing this?
My wife and I were both screaming at the TV when that sleaze was trying to bag Odenkirk's wife.

This week’s episode was a kick in the nuts.
But the chiffarobe line cracked me up.

Actually I mixed up Amanda Crew with Suzanne Cryer. I believe Amanda Crew was a good bit younger than Suzanne Cryer.
