What is your experience with them?

Brother has 2 and says they’re the best dogs he’s ever had.

Parents have two.
Fantastic dogs.
Weird combination of lap dog and billy goat that likes to jump and climb on anything they can reach

Mine is now an od man at 13-1/2 but he has been a very good dog. Smart and affectionate but his downside is liking to roam. Ole boy can dig out of most any fence but other than that he is great with people and other dogs.

They are terriers, pretty hardheaded but can be trained. Will kill any rodent they find. Bark like mad at any disturbance. Easier to house train than other small dogs. Wife's family have had them for yrs, we have a 12 yr old one now. Won't get another, downsizing number of dogs. Im a lab guy w lots of pointer experience too

Beautiful, smart and loyal. Couldn't ask for a better companion.
Also bark constantly and tend to bite visitors, even those they've seen before.

Awesome, awesome dogs. We raised them for years. Very sweet and loving, plays well with bigger dogs too. I had one named Schattzi that would get down on her belly and crawl while stalking squirrels. Funniest shite I'd ever seen a dog do.

I have had two.
Both were males.
Both were mean and barked a lot.
They hate a mailman.

First dog that we owned. It was a great dog. THEY DO NOT SHED.
ETA: They do need to be groomed.

They do t shed or something right?

Awesome dogs. Just be careful to A) Don't get one from a puppy mill/inbred and B) It's hard to resist but don't give them people food especially once they hit about 6 or older. This advice comes straight from my vet. I know these 2 precautions apply to most dogs, but mini Schnauzers are even more of a ticking time bomb than most other breeds if you feed them table scraps. Major issues with pancreatitis etc. But as a mini Schnauzer owner of 4 of them over the course of almost 30 years and someone who is allergic to everything, they check all the boxes of a great dog.

They are smaller than your average schnauzer.

Correct. Every now and again one of the litter will have a little more coarse hair and shed slightly more, but 95% or more of mini Schnauzers don't shed.
