Very impressive against a good Arkansas team. The fate of this team moving forward will be contingent on Floyd being consistently good the second game of every series.

He easily had the best stuff on the pitching staff until Skenes arrived. Then Wes has helped him improve immensely.

If you would have told me he pitched into the 7th after the first inning I would have called you crazy.

Did a very good job at the time and in hindsight of only giving up 2 runs in that 1st and getting out of a bases loaded jam.

He worked through a tough start, not all of it his fault, and seemed to get stronger as the game went.

He had me worried in the first inning, but he got it together and pitched a fantastic game after that

Did he hit 96?

I was at the game and he was 92-94. Great pitching today and nerves after that first inning

I was at the game and after 5 I looked and saw he had only given up 2 hits. I was like this has been the most stressful 2 hit game I have ever witnessed.

Arky had 1 hit well into game 1. We are better than Arky but sometimes you let one get away

He’s just a super even keeled guy. Helped him stabilize and rebound

And Arky is a good hitting team.

Loved the Nolan reference.
i think Nolan AVERAGED about 150 / game for his career.

Here is a crazy Ryan stat. In one game he pitched a total of 235 pitches (I don’t recall how many innings they went).
Not only did he pitch 4 days later he threw a complete game…

i heard Skenes mention the short week today during the broadcast. Back then it was commonplace to pitch every 4 days.

Nolan Ryan and Barry Bonds are the all time leaders in stats that don’t sound true but absolutely are.
