So according to the board president, the display of the statue was only an issue because there was a failure to follow school policy and alert parents before hand that a nude statue would be displayed?

Whether that is actually the case, I’m actually surprised to read this report in slate.

The school had an arrangement with Hillsdale College until recently when Hillsdale said the school had failed to meet improvement requirements.

There’s far bigger issues here than the David statue. But the issue lets Mickey prance about like he has a point.

If this was all about Western art, was there no consideration given for showing young people probably the greatest example of it, the Pietá.

So it looks as though someone was pushing the envelope here just to test reactions.

And not only that, the teacher apparently encouraged the kids to not tell their parents.

Three flavor combination of coffee, strawberry, and pistachio is surprisingly delish.

Sounds good. I usually do coffee, caramel, and almond.

I was scrolling in the book of faces and came across the school president’s FB post - i forgot we were fb friends

The school president is also a lobbyist at the Capitol…I’ll find him next week and get the backstory [/img]

Was Michelangelo gay?

I believe in his biography of Michelangelo, Walter Isaacson expressed the opinion that Michelangelo preferred the company of men.

David is absolutely amazing. You really have to see it in person to appreciate how magnificent it is. Then get some gelato.

I was surprised how big it is

How about we stick to not wanting teachers to convince our kids to cut their dicks off?

Yeah, Wife was just taking to all the sights in Italy, and we were just going to another place with more statues; but will have to say, pictures don’t do “ David” any justice. Seeing that sculpture is a religious experience, something just so perfect in nature, really was worth it IMO…

And yet OP is in favor of an admin that supports drag queens in elementary schools and drag admirals.
