New Orleans teen accused in carjacking death of Linda Frickey found incompetent to stand t

A teen accused in the carjacking death of a Mid-City woman last year has been found incompetent to stand trial.
A judge determined Monday that Lenyra Theophile was incompetent and could not proceed with the trial slated for next month due to her depressive state.
The judge ordered that Theophile be transferred to North Lake for an evaluation. She will have another mental competency hearing on May 19 and will get a new trial date separate from the other teens.
The other three suspects are expected to begin trial on April 3.
Frickey was carjacked in March 2022, and the incident was captured on video.
Each of the teens faces one count of second-degree murder, and all say they are not guilty.
All four are charged as adults and could face life behind bars.
The news report fails to mention the detached arm.

The kid is depressed and can’t stand trial because of that?
What in the frick? Can someone with more knowledge explain how people like that are ever able to be brought to justice? Certainly she’s not let off Scott free…

Ripped her arm off as she drug behind her car, then was left in the street naked and alive while neighbors and citizens rushed to keep her calm as she slowly and agonizingly bled out.
This poor grandma just going to work had to go out in a horrific way. Destroyed her family, all those who had to witness it are traumatized for life, all so these pieces of shite could go for a joy ride.

Why even waste the time and effort on a trial. It’s not like real justice will be served. I doubt this worthless shite stain will ever face actual justice. She and the other feral predatory animals will be back out on the streets in no time.
It’s time to face facts. Far-left extremists have destroyed the criminal justice system. It’s ceased to function. All that can be done at this point is allow the whole rotten structure to collapse then build it back up from scratch.
