Not southeast but more south central, you can slay sacalait in the Blue bird canal. Go during hunting season and you can limit out on gallinule too

Let us know when you find out.

Ida changed a lot of shite. I mean rearranged land.

This year has been the worst fishing year of my life so far.

It's definitely a bottom 2 for me. The troubling part is, the badness is not from high water. I can't explain it.

These fish down here are as confused as we are. Going from 70s and 80s two straight weeks to lows in the low 40s like this week are putting these fish in a no-man's land of staging and activity level.
I've heard numerous reports of everything going on at once right now. Pre spawn bass staging, bass on beds, bass post spawn, and the shad spawn all going on at once. It's crazy.

Fishing inshore on upper Texas coast I was having the best mid-winter bite in twenty years. I had my best ever day (actually 70 minutes) for topwater, upper slot redfish on Feb 5th. It got unseasonably warm a week or so later and I have not boated a fish in 5-6 trips since. It was funny at first, then disconcerting, and is now insanely frustrating. To the point where I welcomed the cold front last weekend and the one coming this weekend.

I'd probably pay decent money for someone to teach me how to catch sacs around the Northshore.

Typically slamming sacs in Terrebonne and Lafourche parish marshes and bayous right now.

This year, they are virtually absent. Along with the sacs, the bass are extremely scarce. Only decent reports I’ve heard are south. Dularge areas south of Lake Decade and near clovelly farms.

Middle creek in Colyell Bay. Tube jigs or shiners around any structure will get you an ice chest pic. A 14-17’ bateau is your friend getting there.
