First time shotgun shooting

Is there any law preventing shooting a shotgun in the Bonne Carie spillway just to provide experience for a young beginner

Is it legal to hunt rabbit in the Bonne Carré Spillway.

Times have changed, when I first moved into Kenner La. I could shoot a shotgun in the front yard. I just want to help grant a wish my Granddaughter has. Hunters Safety Course latter on possibly.

Understand completely. Two weeks ago while bank fishing for Sac-a-lait I and my son came upon 5 gentleman (non speaking English) and it was uncomfortable to say the least. That’s why I asked about this carry issue.
