Lindsey Graham Calls For The US To Shoot Down Russian Planes

“What would Ronald Reagan do right now? He would start shooting Russian planes down, if they were threatening our assets,” the veteran hawk told Fox News, while commenting on the incident.
Aside from that probably not being true (read George Schultz’ 1100 pageTurmoil and Triumph for a great, in depth memoir of Reagan and the USSR; thank God Reagan didn’t listen to the Neocons too much)...
And what would Russians do, Lindsay, if we were threatening their assets?
Last night Fox News’ Trace Gallagher had some retired military officer on and was asked about the drone crash...
“Well, Trace, we’ve got to be honest here. Our drones have been gathering intel and relaying it to Ukrainian military and that intel has been used to kill Russian soldiers. So I’m not surprised this happened. Frankly, I’m surprised it hasn’t happened sooner.”
Trace Gallagher seemed stunned. Blank faced.

Weren't Russian planes a much bigger "threat to our assets" in the '80s than they are now?
