I sort of got the feeling Roy may come out of retirement after he felt the love of the Chelsea crowd. Anyone else feel that way?
Many have already commented but this whole situation led him to saying he probably should have not left Chelsea. He should have just stayed and enjoyed it.
This will lead him to just enjoy the time he has with Keeley even if they are very busy. He's using his experience in sports to help him in his life now. I think they even said something about sports being a metaphor at the end the episode.

Not to mention a great nickname.

100% first thing I thought when I saw him. That is definitely based on zlatan.
I'm intrigued by the angle they are taking bringing in a "3rd ace" especially after all the progress Ted made with Jamie. Of course Danny Rojas is excited about Zava, but it could destroy Jamie's ego and revert him back to what he was. Add that in with keely and Roy breaking up and we could have a sticky situation brewing there. Then top it off with Trent crimm being around, who knows where this is heading.
This is going to set up for a great competition between Zava and Jamie, the overbearing ego vs the learning-humility ego. I think he ends up furthering Jamie's character progression, eventually making Jamie a team leader.
I'm looking forward to Roy's reactions to Zava's ego-driven actions.

Great episode. As usual it does a great job of mixing in the funny with the serious issues - e.g. Roy being affected by Trent’s criticisms of him when he was just a 17-year old kid.

The actor who plays Sam Obisanya is maybe the best on the show

New episode out - another solid one.

Episode 3 was good, a lot to unpack there. I get the weird feeling now come end of season/championship game Zava will leave and Jamie and the Collin will step up and lead them.
I think Collin will get outed at some point and will go into a dark place before coming back and shinning.
I see Jamie as getting a shot at redemption and becoming the teams savior once Zava lets them down.
frick Teds past marriage counselor.

I never saw Roy Kent as Yoda coming, but now it seems so obvious, and I am here for it.
"I was not being ironic; I was being hypocritical.' Zing.
Also, I love how Beard's and Jane's baggage matches up as well.

Zava is a spitting image to Zlatan.

That pissed me off pretty hard. They both can frick right off. Not necessarily excited that they had to squeeze a gay storyline in but I can see this one actually adding to the storyline with Trent Krimm and actually giving Collin some meaning in the show.
A lot of good laughs in this episode.

Shite in nining armor, Jamie #9. Wonder if Zava gets hurt or he quits and Jamie saves the day

Feels like we're setting up a Zava move to West Ham in the January transfer window. Big Jack Parkman vibe from Major League II.
Roy and Jamie are my favorite characters so far this season.

I agree with good, it was actually great, but *in Roy's voice* FUUUUCK that was alot of frustration. That was by far the hardest episode to get through yet. I was literally yelling at my screen for Ted to tell his ex-wife to frick off, but Ted will be Ted.
The whole Zava persona is 100% Zlatan, and being absent from the introductory ceremony was expected, but I did enjoy his initial interaction with the team. I don't get the whole side story with Colin yet, it seems to be a bit "extra" for now. Trent crimm seeing them making out at the end obviously makes it a story line going forward as Colin was the one benched for Zava.
What I am REALLY looking forward to is the Jamie and Roy arc. I initially thought that Jamie would digress and go back to his old ways, but that scene in Sam's restaurant showed me I was wrong.
Jamie+Roy > Zava. Jamie will be the hero at the end, not for himself, but for Richmond. Book it.

I clocked the irony on how the Doctor answered the phone thinking it was a telemarketer is something that Ted probably would have done as well.

As soon as I saw the look of horror on Jacob's face I instantly knew it was their past marriage counselor. I literally jumped up in anger. Eff him and Ted's wife. She was already an a-hole but she upped it multiple level in a matter of two seconds! This show is fantastic though! Makes me physically laugh out loud multiple times. Not a fan of all the liberal remarks they are making this season but what else do you expect I guess.

I didn't realize this until a rewatch, but yeah.
Also, saw on twitter, that those army green men were Matchbox soldiers which puts a new spin on the green Matchbox and "safe".
