Has anybody backed out of taking the kids to Disney because of the reservation system?

I am taking my son to Orlando for the first time this summer and looking forward to taking him to the theme parks. We are staying at one of the Universal Resorts and got tickets for Universal Studios, Adventure Island, and Volcano Bay. Just for staying at the Universal resort, we get unlimited express pass.

I have been on the fence about Disney because of all the bad stories I have heard on YouTube and people I know who went after the 2020 pandemic closure. I have heard a lot of people complain about the reservation system and how stressful it is. Luckily, my son always talked about wanting to go to Universal Studios and hardly ever talks about Disney. For those who have went to Disney the last few years, is the reservation system bad like I have heard?

My wife and sister in law had that shite down to a science. Seems like a good system if you know how to use it.

I went Universal a little over a year ago and did the VIP Tour Experience (Link)

It’s been ten years since I donated to the Mouse in Orlando.

I did go to Disneyland in ‘17 for one day, it was a Sunday in January and not crowded. It was acceptable.

Disney is for pedos, groomers, and trannys. A patriot would not support their agenda.

Universal is fun and if you are staying on property, there are great perks. The portofino was worth it.

It’s literally as simple as “select attraction” on the genie+ app.

Some rides you pay outright for a lightning lane pass (Guardians of the Galaxy, Seven Dwarves, Rise of the Resistance).

It’s about as easy as possible, what a weird thing to consider canceling your trip over.

Wife had a work conference last week at A resort at Disney. I took the kids and I used the genie and it was easy to use… it’s expensive as I’m sure you know… as far as the negative comments. I’m a conservative and I had reservations. But I chose to go and spend time with the kids. The only woke thing I saw in the parks was a few rainbow flag pins.. it’s like this, I guarantee your bank, where you buy groceries. Etc. is in on this woke agenda…. The same people shitting on it eat up the NFL etc
I will say I do monitor what they watch. But it’s just a six flags on steroids

We used travel agents who specialized in Disney and didn’t have to think about anything.

The reservation system is not the same as the fast pass/genie - so what are you talking about?

Went to Orlando a couple of months ago for a conference and the family came along. We went to the Magic Kingdom. No way I would go without the Genie+. I saw those poors sitting in those lines and it was miserable looking. I even let the old lady buy a couple of additional lightning lanes or whatever they're called in the app to save 30-45 minutes in other rides.

I'd pay just about anything to stay out of lines. Hell, I might jerk Pluto off at the gate just to get out of lines. Hate lines baw.

Your son already gave you the answer. You're going to spend thousands of dollars, and you get to avoid Disney, do what he asked for. He's handing you the win. Take the win.

Sounds like you're divorced, and it seems like 80% of the reason to go to Disney is so (ex)-wives can post about it, like 30A.

No it’s because I don’t want them to turn my kids into bigs Ole queers or trannies.

Fast pass worked great, so naturally they got rid of it.

The longer you stay in the park, the more you buy, whether it’s food, drinks or merchandise. Disney knows this, but it doesn’t seem to be working out for them given the layoffs.

Last time I went to universal, which was a decade ago we did the express pass, and knocked both parks out on everything we wanted to ride in a day.

Disney needs to scrap their current system. Last time we went you simply could not get a reservation on Rise of the Resistance.
