8 episode contest for up to $1m played by 16 players in teams. They are in Alaska, similar to the lone player Lost but with specific gear provided and fewer rules ie stealing and destruction are on the table.

First episode down, seems interesting.

Dropped on Netflix today

Just finished the 2nd episode and I’m calling BS on it. I wanted to like it but I should have known better than expecting a halfway believable survival show on Netflix. I’ll finish it because my wife and son like it but the last 20 minutes of the second episode was just too over the top for me.

Maybe I’m going crazy but I could have swore the premise of the show was to have a 4 person team to win the game. The tv magic of this show would make Bear Grylls cringe.

It was entertaining enough but it's so obviously scripted its ridiculous. I know most reality shows are to some extent but every second of this was ridiculous. Too many inconsistencies and dumb things to even list.

That said, I'd probably watch another season. I just gave up on it being an actual competition of any sort real early on.

My sister was telling me about this show last night, she said one of the ladies started suggesting a bunch of crimes because they were out in the wilderness and there were no rules. They had to tell her no you’re in Alaska.

Pretty entertaining; just saw a dude build a mediocre gilly suit

Love me some Alone so I started this one yesterday. Couldn't get past the introduction before I cut it off. Part of the reason Alone is so good is because there is no drama. I don't need drama in my survival show.

I really don't understand why they don't just keep Alone going but in different locations? Probably almost zero production cost. Just copy Alone or make it couples. Allow situations like "we just crash landed and only have these supplies" or "we went on a three hour tour but got lost".

Very poor show. Supposedly they did like 40 days and none of them lost real weight. Alone has people losing 20-50pounds in that many days.
The whole thing seemed like a cool idea they started, realized about 3 weeks in that it sucked, and then just rushed the ending because they didn’t want to spend more money.

When the guy was trying to steal the sleeping bags and that woman couldn't see the thief behind a branch in a makeshift ghillie suit with a camera man staring back at her I turned it off. Horrible stuff.
