Does Gillikin give up #4 to Carr? # has been good for former FA QBs: Walsh & Bouman

Some may say that the #4 should have been retired after Steve Walsh.
As a reminder, in Steve Walsh's only year as a Full Time Starter, the original QB4 took us to the playoffs for our 2nd time ever.

I don’t think the punter has much say in what number he gets. Carr could be a nice guy and offer to buy it from him or Gillikin will be assigned some new digits

Damn, Bouman is a name I’d completely forgotten.
Assuming Carr cares about getting the #4 jersey Gillikin seems like the kind of guy that’d let him have it.

Steve Walsh. Buddy D used to call that the Lawrence Welk trade - a one and a two and a three.
Walsh was the Miami QB when they beat LSU during the biggest monsoon I ever saw in Tiger Stadium.
