Politicians and lawyers should be rounded up and tossed in a volcano.

news" hosts on fox

Fair. How about those on MSNBC and CNN?

so far only Fox is known to have had a strategy of lies about an event.

occaionally an individual is caught in a lie.
Brian Williams of NBC was top dog when he was caught in some lie. after a suspension he got back on air not nbc and not prime time. he ended up in the last night slot on the cable msnbc.
but it was never the nbc network policy. years before msnbc
canned olbermann after he blew a gasket.
pretending about the 2020 so trump fans like your content is the fox news speciality.

Come on. I asked about MSNBC and CNN. Don't play obtuse.

You also forgot Dan Rather, coordination with the Obama WH on stories through conference calls and a few others that don't immediately come to mind.

Lost a lot of respect for medical professionals in the last few years.

The PI lawyers all over television are scum.

Who else is going to hand over money to the government and discern the taxability of a transaction?

It amuses me that the OT hates lawyers, but "seriously, get off TD and call a lawyer" is one of the most common pieces of advice I see posted on here when anyone has a real problem to deal with

Crazy to me that realtors have not been pushed into extinction by simple photographs, videos, and computers. Only career where you produce no work product and still get paid a commission of something that was already there and someone else decided to buy.

When I read your posts I think there’s no way you can be this stupid, but then I remember you’re a hippy boomer.

the reputation that profession has is rightfully deserved, there are several lawyers that post here that seem like good dudes, half the guys in my frat are lawyers, but the profession is rife with sleazy, underhanded, unethical leeches

I honestly don't frown on any profession. I don't consider scamming people a profession though.

I would say that the closest would be real estate agents getting 3-6% of a house sale these days, it is absolutely insane the money they make instead of a flat fee and not being percentage based. But again, people pay it so they have a demand for their work.

I have seen people mention things like payday loans, furniture rental and other professions that "take advantage" of poor people. If you think that they are taking advantage, volunteer to loan the same people enough money to pay for what they want with a low interest loan and see how long that lasts. The interest rates coincide with the risk involved in the loan.

None really, if its an honest job.

Why would I hold someone who works in low esteem, just because of their career?

There are absolutely "sleazy, underhanded, unethical leeches" in the legal profession, but I think its prevalence is overstated. According to the random google link I just clicked on, there are over 20,000 lawyers in the state of Louisiana alone. If only 5% of them are slimeballs, that's still 1,000 people, which is certainly enough for people to notice and have anecdotes about. And because of the perceived power that attorneys wield in what is, at least by appearances, an incredibly arcane legal system, I think it becomes a bit of a bogey man.

I think the average person, if you really climbed into their heads, believe that the percentage of used car salesmen, whole life insurance salesmen, etc, etc who are dogshit is much higher than the percentage of attorneys who are. But people don't fear used car salesmen in the same way as they do attorneys, so the emotion gets inflated.
