Doesn't matter because beds keep getting smaller.

My 99 z71 in high school had rear seat vents
Chevy did away with them around 08 for some stupid reason
I had to go back and google, because I had a 2003 Sierra Denali. It apparently had rear Ac vents.

I used to have the same opinion. Then I realized that that thing is a freaking godsend for loading dead game in the back of the truck!

GM on the other hand, was not bailed out at all. The owners of the company lost their entire investment. The fedgov bought the company, put it through bankruptcy under its own terms, then sold the company. It’s a new company, the workers may have been bailed out, and you can still buy some of the same vehicles, but it is a complete mischaracterization that they were “bailed out”. The fedgov simply wanted their demise to be on their terms.
That's kind of worse. Communist Motors, amirite?

The beds and bedrails on trucks these days are absolutely higher than they were in the early 90s.

In 1992 I said I’d never buy another GM product. Same when I need a rental.

I’m not saying if it’s better or worse, but I am saying that them (the shareholders) being bailed out is very fake news.
