My flight back from Phoenix a couple weeks ago had 80 people on a 170 person plane. It was amazing.

There are definitely less flights nowadays. LFT-IAH there used to basically be a plane flying back and forth all day, now it's just a couple times a day. Less, more crowded flights and longer layovers are the norm now.

This is like during the height of Covid numbers. The one thing I missed about Covid was flying for dirt cheap with no one on the plane

Ehhhh shut your piehole and finish your scotch…. your bird should be all boarded by now and they aren’t going anywhere without you getting them airborne cap. :)-

Every recent flight that I’ve been on has been full. To Denver, Houston, San Diego in the last 2 months. I wouldn’t start this thread if it was just this one flight that was full

Yep, flew one leg with as many crew as passengers. The downside is you could hear flight crew drama.

After the airlines all came out of bankruptcy, they got smarter and figured out that running 5 flights from ATL to RDU is more profitable than 10 a day. If your flight gets canceled now you are shite out of luck. I had an American flight cancel from Halifax to Philly and their solution was to book me on the same flight four days later. No hotel, no meal vouchers, basically said if you can do better you are on your own. Naturally, I booked a Westjet and Delta flight back home to Atlanta. I'll never give American another dime.

I haven’t flown or been on many flights lately where they weren’t 90% full. I know we are flying less domestically but many of our international flights that we fly once a day are just as full. Often full to out of ATL to Asia. ATL to Lima had 340 passengers on it last night. Some Europe flights are a little lighter but not by much.

Santiago, Munich, Bogota, São Paulo, Paris, Toulouse, Amsterdam in the past year…All > 90% full.

BTW, God bless the the engineers who designed the 787. That 3,500’ of lower cabin altitude is the greatest improvement in long range air travel in the last 40 years.

You’re not kidding, flying during Covid was wonderful. Except for the mask mandate

I took a fight back from Paris the other day and no one es really past row 38. (On a 777) I had the exit row so the armrest didn't come up, but I had like six feet of leg room because of lay out. I made a bed on the floor of the plane and had great sleep.

But then my flight from DC to NOLA was jam packed. Luckily I always photoshop my boarding passes to get group 2. (Had worked for 12 fights in a row now) so I got my overhead in.

Also Dulles airport. What's up with the giant moving lounges. That was weird. I went to a waiting room for a terminal transfer and the entire room drove across the airport. Was very weird.

GOAT flight I ever had was a return trip from London during a crew change and I basically had the left section of rows in my cabin to myself. They served me nonstop beers and it was lovely.
