Why do hunters and just about anyone who owns a gun think they could repel a invasion..

Of continental USA?
What gives people these outlandish ideas? I hunt and I also hear these discussions at my hunting camp.
Most hunters hate other club members and all neighbors for the most part. But somehow they're all going to work together and employ guerilla tactics together?
And assuming anyone invades it will be a full scale combined arm invasion. If we don't own the air then ground troops will be torn to shreds by air to ground and by artillery.
I try to inform all the tards that no overweight army armed with small arms with no organization will be destroyed within days.

Didn’t we supply Ukraine with Arms at beginning of their invasion?
Imagine going Guerilla warfare with baws in the swamp or the Gumpers in the hills of North Alabama etc etc

You obviously didn’t watch Red Dawn.

Guess that's why we always have those damn invasions 'round here.

It’s called pride in the country and defending our neighbor.
But that’s considered an extremist point of view now.

I work with dudes who have shot 4 mags from their rifle in their entire life but they think when SHTF they're going to immediately become a navy seal.

Most of us own weapons to protect our homes and families.

It's not about repeling an invasion. It's about the population being armed enough to create the sort of havoc that makes an invader say "frick it, we're leaving".
Morale and losing the will to fight is a big fricking deal in an armed conflict.

Were you around during 9/11?
It was the most unified pissed off country in the world for about 6 months. That’s how long it took for the government to divide us again.
A ground invasion of this country and its 300 million privately owned firearms would be a bloodbath.

If I get just 2-3 of’em. Unless it’s Chinese in which case I’ll need to get 8.

First of all, why the frick do you care? If they want to think that, what does it hurt. You call them "tards" but you are the one that ran to a message board to validate yourself.

Do you even Afgainistan, bro? Bunch of goat frickers with rusted AKs have repelled many invaders.

I laugh and cry at the same time at some of these folks
Dudes are 5'8 255lbs, have thousands of rounds of ammo and gear but can't run a mile if their lives depended on it
Those folks are just storing gear for others, in the end

Because a bunch of hunters (and just about everyone else who owned a gun) repelled the greatest military in the world in the mid-1700s and we became an independent country.

Slaughtering the enemy in dump truck loads is also pretty motivating

400 million. Over 120 guns per 100 people
