Rumour has it that during the next SW Celebration, Lucasfilm will announce an upcoming live action show, following Luke Skywalker.

The show will also feature Han Solo and Princess Leia, and will probably take place around the same time as ‘The Mandalorian’

Would you want this?

Looking forward to the fresh new take on Luke Skywalker with Lizzo taking up the fabled lightsaber.

There has to be another Star Wars timeline that they can make shows about.

I don't care for this.

No Filoni, no care. However, if he’s got the reins it could be incredible - see Luke Mando eps

How?

Are they really going to recast those roles with younger actors?

Didn’t we already have this show. I think it was called the original trilogy and even the prequels. How much left is there to fill in lol.

If true it has become quite obvious that Kathleen Kennedy and her cohorts are desperate to get back into the good graces of the fandom. However, the changes they will make to his character will offset any good will such a show may create.

Let either Favreau or whoever made Andor in charge then I am for it. They have a good track record with Mandalorian and Andor.

It's like we forgot that stories are just glimpses at lives, and not Only Fans accounts with live web cams rolling 24/7 from birth to death.

I never needed to know EVERY DETAIL about the Star Wars universe, from their Big Bang to heat death. It takes away all of whatever mystery was there by having to fill in each and every nook and cranny of unfilmed space.

so yesterday I had some time and did some back of the envelope math because it had been bothering me, and it tuns out that when you count all the cartoons, D+ shows, and movies there have been roughly 9481 total minutes of Star Wars content on film.

The OG Trilogy, otherwise known as STAR WARS for an entire generation, makes up just 377 minutes. Essentially, an afternoon worth of movies kept us entranced for 2 decades, and now it makes up the tiniest sliver of the overall PRODUCT that's been shat out.

If Filoni and Favreau are behind it, I'd watch it.

I've far more enjoyed the "stories" outside of the Skywalker family in the extended universe. Mando, Andor, etc. All quality shows that can have great content not bogged down by those original characters' canon and expectations.

Yup. Seeing Luke in The Rescue was my favorite TV moment in a long time, maybe ever. Grown men cried.
