from an outsider who has never owned a truck and has no need to ever own one. Sierra is the best looking truck IMO.

Drove Chevys/GMCs for years. Still have a couple. But everything went South for me in ‘17 when I got a Silverado with the 5.3 (must have been echo tec) but no one told me.
It was utter garbage. No power, clunky, bed was unbelievably short. Then there was the technical difficulties such as the damn radio not turning off after you got out, took the key out, locked the doors etc. or the radio immediately syncing to your phone and immediately playing the first song in alphabetical order. Or the radio locking up driving down the road playing the same song on repeat and not letting you access the actual radio without pulling over, turning it off, removing key. Opening drivers side passenger door and closing it. Getting back in and crank it. On long trips this was horribly annoying. And those seats were the most uncomfortable seat I’ve ever experienced. Plus it had the power of a wet kitten.

Traded in ‘21 during the used car craze and bought a ‘21 F150 with the giant screen and the Coyote V8. Problem solved. Comfy seats, wireless car play that always works (except at I-10 and College) and holy crap at the power! Unbelievable.

I haven’t driven the Toyota so I won’t comment either way. But Ford is miles ahead of Chevy and this is someone who is a die hard Chevy/GMC guy.

Keep trying though, I love watching idiots in action.

Edit: Most who compliment are people I don’t know. Friends are 50/50 on it.

GM used to make great trucks, but now they make a shite box.

Things change.

I’ve had two “trucks”. An 04 Tahoe with 242k on it, and 2011 Silverado with 117k. Easy to work on, lots of parts and YouTubes available for fixing it. Those 5.3s last forever. I’m forever a Chevy guy.

This is the most jealous statement I have read on here in a while. Are you like 12?

2. The 10 speed transmission shifts a little rough at times

I’ve definitely noticed this in my 19 F150 too.

I’m driving a 2013 Silverado I bought new. Currently at 221k miles and counting. The only issue I’ve had other than normal things is an oil leak. Luckily I have a mechanic friend that does my work so it wasn’t terribly expensive. Still runs strong.

Tundra is probably the nicest on the inside

To me thats one of the cons for the tundras. They are pretty basic on the inside. I wont own a ford due to all the baws owning them. I like sierra/silverado the most but they over value their product. shite is the most expensive of the 3.

I’m a Ford guy, simply because I got 400k trouble free miles out of my last one. New one is still the v8 but now it’s got the 10 speed transmission and I worry about it. Also the engine isn’t as smooth because they moved it up to 12:1 compression which runs fine on 93 oct, but I don’t like paying $4/gal for gas. Long term who knows, most vehicles are hit or miss. I’d find which one felt right and cross your fingers from there because I know guys with every brand that either has the best or worst experience. All that being said, the biggest problem with trucks is the government forcing manufacturers to change what works, the six speed transmission worked, the v8 worked, and I felt better when I didn’t have to press a button to make sure my truck wouldn’t turn off when I stopped at a red light.
