Refined Sugar and the substitutes both kill you.

To confirm the findings, Hazen’s team tested another batch of blood samples from over 2,100 people in the United States and an additional 833 samples gathered by colleagues in Europe through 2018. About three-quarters of the participants in all three populations had coronary disease or high blood pressure, and about a fifth had diabetes, Hazen said. Over half were male and in their 60s and 70s.
Okay, well then.

“There appears to be a clotting risk from using erythritol,” Freeman said. “Obviously, more research is needed, but in an abundance of caution, it might make sense to limit erythritol in your diet for now.”
If I could eliminate one one phase from the English lexicon, it would be “in an abundance of caution”

Unrefined sugar has iron in it?
Yup. And other minerals too. Unrefined sugar has actual nutritional value.

Natural sugar is still king

My pancreas doesn't make insulin so I am stuck with Splenda and Stevia. Sugar will kill me faster.

If I want sweetener, I use local honey or blackstrap molasses

I’ll wait for Layne Norton to debunk this nonsense.

I’ll have my Community Coffee strong and black. Drink it a while you will love it and won’t have it any other way.
Tea unsweetened. Whiskey -straight or with ice.

Drink it black, with a pack of Camels

Sweetleaf doesn’t use erythitol as filler, it uses inulin, which is just soluble vegetable fiber. Enjoy your sweetleaf.

Stevia is perfectly fine and better than Sugar for you. Move along
Posted on 2/27/23 at 6:56 pm to TutHillTiger
I use honey to sweeten any food product.

There’s no substitute for eating healthy and managing your intake. Fake sugars are all bad for you and probably worse than actual sugar

Did you read the article? It wasn’t talking about Stevia but erythitol.
