It's not water lines outside fridge

Yeah, that is not on Samsung that is user error. Nothing personal, as its a common mistake. Good news is you dont have to replace the fridge or have it repaired. Lubricate the o-ring(s) on the new filter, make sure it is installed correctly and as previous poster mentioned, watch it for a few minutes to ensure there is a good seal.

I just bought a Bosch a year ago. My surface front stainless dents for no reason. We are not rough on our appliances. We have had other fridges that this hasn’t happened. Many other finishing touches that aren’t right. Will never buy a Bosch again Very frustrating.

Bosch dishwashers are GOAT, though.

You didn't seat the filter all the way.

I did this once.

Once.

LG just because it does this…

It doesn't make ice near that good. Still nice to have on hand.

House had a subzero in it when we bought. I refuse to comment on the basis that the fridge will go to shite if I say that it has caused very few issues for me.

In my experience it’s worth spending extra for a higher end appliance. Bi higher end I don’t mean a fridge with a 40 in screen on it - I mean a high end brand.

You think those icemakers are dirty? I hope you never get restaurant ice. Though the WORST are people with in home nugget ice makers. Those $3,000 Hoshizakis need bi annual deep cleaning.

I see people referencing Samsung and LG, but this five (5) year old Whirlpool I own has repeatedly failed and needed a repair. Between failures with the ice maker and multiple lock ups with the freezer failing, it’s been a real disappointment.

We bought a Samsung Kitchen suite after the flood for like $3500 all black stainless. Have already replaced the dishwasher with a Bosch. The ice maker on the fridge freezes up one time a week. It also randomly beeps and changes it self from water to ice to crushed ice some times while in use. The gas stove is the only one I can say is holding up good, aside from that I'll never buy their appliances again.

Fridgideair is still quality. A swiss brand, parent company is Electrolux.
Samsung refrigerators and washer/dryers are crap! My washer rusted out in a couple years, refrigerator ice maker went out and freezer stopped cooling. I changed the refrigerators circuit board and now it is in my garage (LG part) as a backup. Ice maker still broken.
Kenmore Elite is also crap. I had to change the compressor after 2 years only for it to go out again 1.5 years after that. Ice maker is small and doesn't keep up.
Switched to Fridgidaire that has a double icemaker and after 4 years, still going strong. Swapped the washing machine out for a speed queen and 4 years later it looks and works the same as the day I got it.

I don’t have a brand recommendation, just a suggestion that if you get a French door refrigerator you will fricking hate it.

We went from a side by side to a French door one and it has a lot less accessible space due to the layout.

After having a Samsung fridge leak just like yours, we purchased a GE for the new house and absolutely love it.

So in a rough guess, I spent an unexpected $6,500 in 3 months time to replace some POS Samsung and LG appliances last year.
Jesus dude, you’re a glutton for punishment.

Did you ever do any due diligence before you bought those POS appliances? This is not a new revelation that those appliances are trash.

We got a Bosch last summer. They have a lot of high tech boards and one broke under warranty repair. It was a long warranty process. I’m hoping we just got unlucky, but it seems like all the brands have their issues now. It’s a hit or miss pick your poison type of game.

I guess I’ve been lucky with appliances or maybe I just made the right choices.

Estate no frills washer and dryer going strong for over 13 years now without a single repair, 6 year old Kenmore refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer that makes and holds at least 6-7 pounds of ice per day, and a Whirlpool dishwasher that have been great.
