Unless, UNLESS, are you now saying it’s possible someone’s attorney can say they did no wrong, and the DA can not bring charges, and that person still be a bad person, or worse, actually guilty of a crime?

I feel like with a little more effort he could have avoided bringing the murder weapon to a murderer.

We know, we know. You are close to the situation because you've seen him do interviews and he seems nice. Hell, invite him over to play with the kids. He's a model citizen.
