I am an old guy but why do media personality’s like Leah Van think shorter games are better? Do they get to go home and play with their cats earlier?

The 7 inning game is bad for our young team. It’s fine bc it’s Southern and we didn’t want to embarrass them because we love them but we also didn’t get pitchers and other players some much needed work.

They aren’t happy about the amount of innings, they are happy about the time it takes to play the games. Even our 9 inning games this past weekend were all around 2.5 hours long. That’s a good thing. Most people don’t want to sit at a game for 4 hours especially after it gets up to 90+ degrees.

I wouldn't listen to anything that lady says, probably wouldn't agree either. I dont know how she ended up covering sports, she doesnt even seem to like sports.

There’s a difference between 10 run rule that was agreed upon with the coaches and the new clock rules. I do think the clock rules need to be adjusted upwards. But that wasn’t your point with getting players time in a game.

That's the problem you get when you don't schedule Duquesne, I mean you saw the difference between the two during football season

Because she's not really a fan of LSU. And she would probably rather cry about being dumped on Twitter, for the attention/sympathy, rather than LSU baseball.

I don't know how anybody can be a fan of some of the rule changes. That crap that happened today was absolute shite. Luckily it benefited LSU, but what's going to happen when it cost LSU in a key SEC series? Some of the rules are changing the game too much for the worse.

Are these stupid rules going to be in place for the postseason as well? Could we seriously see a crucial inning end due to the stupid game clock?

This rule change isn't meant for the hardcore fans who will watch no matter what.

It's for the average fan who may not watch much baseball bc it's naturally a slow game. I didn't watch one baseball game last year. I've watched all 4 so far this year.

I think the changes are wonderful. Learn the rules and it'll be OK. It's a great thing for this game.

So you wouldn't have watched a game so far this year without the rule changes?

I want jobert in the box as much as anybody, but the lack of gamesmanship with pitch calling, the brevity with which signs have to be given, and the general rushed sense you see in everybody involved is too much. There’s a happy medium out there; hopefully they seek it

The only way we play a 7 inning game is if we are up by 10+ or down by 10+. I'd argue at that point, an extra 2 innings doesn't move the needle, no matter how young a team is.
