From the info:

The nest is located in Big Bear Valley in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. It is about 145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair.
What's happening at the nest: Congratulations, Jackie & Shadow! Egg1 was laid 1/11 15:58. Egg2 was laid during a winter storm 1/14 before 17:11. Pip watch begins on 2/15.

We could soon watch the hatching of our nation's badass mascot live - check it out

We've been in a rental at the Purple Parrott in Perdido Key for the last month while I try to find a house in Pensacola, and there are at least 3 eagles living behind our place. I've seen them everyday.

Two days ago I was taking a piss and through the bathroom window I saw two of the eagles do the thing where they lock claws mid-air and spiral towards the ground. One landed in atop a small tree, and then quickly flew away, and the other one was able to regain his flight in the air. Coolest piss ever.

Some photos I've taken of them:

I stumbled across this feed earlier in the week. Not much happened, but still fascinating to watch.

The Chicago Ornithological Society has observed bald eagles nesting in a nature preserve near my house, so I plan on heading out there tomorrow morning to check it out.

Would be amazing to see this hatching live. It's pretty relaxing to have this going in the background with all the wilderness sounds going on

Big Bear Valley

I've always wanted to go there and rent a cabin, it looks beautiful from the air but it always seems so crowded

Most of our travel plans that far west wind up starting in NoCal and driving north. Big Bear is way south, so I'm not sure if we would ever go down there.

Looks amazing though

There has been one floating around the Jefferson and Bluebonnet area off an on for a couple of months now. I see it and a big arse owl that tend to alternate dominating the skies in that area.

It is very beautiful, but a nightmare when there is snow. We went about a month ago when they got a lot and it took us almost an hour to drive about 3-4 miles in the downtown/village area.
