I don't think so, dude. That anti-Trump vote sealed it for him. He probably didn't think people would remember but it was a dealkiller for a lotta folks who have long memories.

I'm thinking there's too much celebrity status for both than I'm comfortable with. I'm leaning towards Sharon Hewitt for governor.

As far as Senate I'd say Landry but I'm starting to think that the US Congress is about as worthless and miserable position as you can get and my cares about what we send there have gone out the window. That place would corrupt a brick. All we can do is make our own state decent. Seems that's where the power is anyway.

What would you have him do in his position? His main reason for existence is to be a salesman or marketing guy for tourism and culture. It's a bullshite position with an official sounding name.

Billy isn't interested in DC, he wants the Governor's office.

He likely made deal with Landry like he did with Edwards, he won't say nor do anything negative against him in the election in exchange for a big role at the Governor's table.

Billy will run again for Lt Gov not just in the next election, but very likely in the one after that (assuming the winner of the next election is GOP and does a good enough job to likely win re-election in 2028).

People on this board truly hate him. I can't understand why? Lt. Governor basically does nothing except promote tourism....that's it. I'm not sure I've ever seen Billy have an unpopular position....or any position at all for that matter.

He's been a fine Lt Governor. Not as good as Kip woudld have been... but no problems.

People hate Billy because of his time as Plaquemines Parish president, and his connection to a lot of shadiness down there. He's basically Boss Hogg down there.

Nungesser as Lt Gov is basically impeachment Insurance, nothing more.

God forbid he actually get another job in the state with real power.
