My family is gonna be on a float this Friday evening in Natchez, MS. The wife and daughter (no pics, you can’t afford them) are telling me they HAVE to see the Endymion parade this year which will roll the next day. If we leave Natchez around 9 AM we can be near where Endymion starts (near Delgado community college) by 2 PM pretty easily. Will there be any safe parking anywhere near there. I’m willing to pay for it.

TIA

That neighborhood is a cluster, and no getting in or out since you have people already planning to be in that area. They will begin arriving tomorrow night and early on Saturday. Official step-off is 4:15, so your 2:00 ETA is waaaaaay too late.

You have massive floats on one side of the median on Orleans, and all the bands and marching units dropping off on Marconi on the other side of the media with their buses and such. Or it's vice-versa. But that entire neighborhood between Canal Boulevard and the staging area will be jam packed as will the neighborhoods off of Orleans Ave. outside the staging area and on the route.

You can TRY in City Park, but by that time of day, you will be boxed in until the entire parade is gone AND sanitation is done following the parade.

Somewhere near City Park and walk towards Orleans.

People will be selling empty lot parking spots and they'll block you in behind 15 cars. Bring your walking shoes and park far

Park in Lakeview and walk over the railroad tracks under 610. A lot of people do that, but there’s usually spots every year. That will spit you out right by the staging area.

You trying to get near Orleans Ave 2 hrs before Endymion rolls...might be doable if somebody is leaving right when you get there, but it is equally as likely that you won't be able to park anywhere.

What I've done in the past is park near one of the Blue Bikes stations uptown, and then ride over to Mid City. It's much easier to navigate the area by the parade route via bike than it is to drive.

Either park in Lakeview and walk down Marconi or on Canal near City Park Avenue.

There are many ways out of city park and by no means would you get boxed in if you park there

You can definitely make it there in that period of time. That is right at the beginning of the parade. In fact the official beginning of the parade is City Park Avenue and Orleans Avenue which means that the area by Delgado is part of the staging area. They still have big crowds there though.

If you can park in City Park and walk, that would be fine.

No, will not be able to find anything down there after 1030 am. Best bet would be off canal street around St.Patrick St probably by the old Seton Academy

We usually park at Delgado and walk to our spot. Have to get there in the morning though. I’d say 10/11 at the latest.

I always arrive around Noon and pay to park at Delgado. Easy in and out and short walk to beginning of parade area.

Pro Tip: smash all your windows before going and duct tape cellophane on them. It'll save you the shock after the parade

What would be a convenient place to park and then ride a street car?

Park at the airport and Uber as close as possible to where you want to be. You will walk a lot.

Well if it’s for Endymion the sc doesn’t go all the way up Carrollton. You’d either have to walk a lot of the way or bus it.

But you can take it most of the way to napoleon if you are catching the uptown parades Saturday morning.

I am most likely just going to go park around banks street that morning, then walk around and find a spot for the parade.
